CAD STANDARD CREATOR INSTRUCTION MANUAL                                                                                      

 

Start up AutoCAD® program and load the drawing that needs to insert new objects.

Enter “Appload” command → Load “Cad Standard.vlx” file in “Cad Standard” folder (if it has not loaded yet).

 

Enter “CAD_STANDARD_CREATOR” command or abbreviated form “CSC” to open the Cad Standard Creator window.

 

After opening the extension, name of project will be identified automatically for current drawing and show the objects which in the standard drawing of that project. User can identify the standard drawing of another project manually in case of necessary. In case the program can not find the link to the proper standard drawings, a pop-up window will appear to ask user to relink these paths.

 

From the “Select type” choose the object type which you want to insert, then names of the objects in standard drawing will be shown on the “Objects Name” list.

 

The objects in standard drawing will be separated into groups based on their names, on “Group” list choose the group that you want to insert into drawing. Since then the objects in each group will be shown on “Objects Name” list, also you can enter the keyword into “Search” box for searching objects in that such group.

 

On the “Objects Name” list, choose objects that you want to insert → Click on “Insert” button to transfer these such objects into “Insert objects name” list. User can choose objects that have the same name with the ones on current drawing, in other to update their properties by clicking on the “Same” button.

 

In order to make one of inserted objects turn into the current object of the drawing, user can tick “Set Curent” box and thence choose the objects that need to be set.

User can remove the objects on “Insert objects name” list by choose them first and then click on “Remove” button.

 

User can insert other objects by selecting another type of objects in “Select type” menu, and thence perform the above operations repeatedly.

After identifying objects need to be inserted into current drawing, click on “OK” button to give the order to begin the work.
